Unbelievably, The Oldest Koi Fish In The World Was 226 Years Old

Image
The scarlet-coloured female was born in 1751 during the Tokugawa era in Japan. Though the average lifespan of a scarlet koi carp is approximately 40 years, Hanako managed to live well into the 1970s and was aged 226 when she departed. Her marvellous story was first shared when her last owner Dr Komei Koshihara made a national telecast in 1966 on Nippon Hoso Kyokai radio station. Koshihara said he was aware of Hanako’s age as he had it confirmed by professor Masayoshi Hiro, who worked at the Laboratory of Animal Science of the Nagoya Women’s College. Two of the fish’s scales had been plucked and examined over the course of two months, letting Hiro calculate the rings of growth on her scales to ascertain her age. Click Here to Read Full Articel

Trump 2020 App Removed From Google Play Store As It Didn’t Work

Image
Google suspended former president Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign app from Google’s Play Store on Wednesday. According to  Android Police,  it wasn’t removed for any of the several other reasons that Trump has been removed from the world’s largest platforms, but rather, it only didn’t work. Before the suspension, the app provided campaign news, an event schedule, and means to contribute to the campaign, but at some point, it didn’t work, compelling Google to take it down.  Android Police  affirmed that the app was non-functional before Google suspended it. When  Android Police  tested the app, it wasn’t able to load content, reporting a network error or simply spinning a loading ‘T’ circle endlessly.” The iOS version of the app is still on the Apple App Store and still working, though.   Click Here to Read Full Articel

Microsatellite Launched To Orbit In Its 1st Mission Of 2021 By Rocket Lab

That payload, which is a communications satellite for the European space technology company OHB Group, was successfully deployed about 70 minutes after the launch. After it is functional, the microsatellite will enable certain frequencies to complement future services from orbit, according to Rocket Lab representatives about today’s mission, which they dubbed “Another One Leaves the Crust.” “Another One Leaves the Crust” was the overall 18th mission for the 58-foot-tall Electron, which is offering dedicated rides for small satellites since 2018. The rocket has now carried a total of 97 spacecraft to orbit. Electron is a dispensable rocket, but that will soon change if everything goes in accordance to plan. Rocket Lab wishes to reuse Electron first stages, which will be plucked out of the sky with a helicopter as they’re returning to Earth post-launch. Electron is very small to make vertical powered landings like those done by the initial stages of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. Electron c
